Mechanized Combat in a Dark Future.

In the dark and distant future, the stars have smoldered and burned. Everything that once stood in the Orion sector has descended into darkness. Those who have not fled the sector now fight over what little remains—or have simply gone mad from the emptiness around them. Blood is spilled over the meaningless. In a time when humanity should be united, they have become the greatest threat to themselves. Thus, the age of man has ended, left in the ashes of the flames of Orion. All will trudge forward into oblivion in their mechanical tombs. An age of darkness has begun.

Flames of Orion is a dark future miniatures war game where players pilot giant mechanized combat machines, set in the Orion system. Renegades, outlaws, and mercenaries litter the sector. Years have passed, and the planets in this sector sit heavy with shadows and foreboding.

Players will control a Combat Unit consisting of 4 mechs and battle over the remnants of fading planets. Systems overheating, missiles flying and engines going critical. Fast paced, deadly and a core system designed for campaign play. Grab your set of favorite battlemechs, or make your own in this model agnostic game.

Flames of Orion has been successfully funded on Kickstarter.

Flames of Orion has always set out to be an easily accessible game. This edition is a trimmed down version of the core book to get players into the action. It excludes the campaign, some of the art and other bits – but all the rules to play the game are here.

STL’S & MODELS

Flames is meant to be miniature agnostic and allows players to build or play with whatever models they choose. With that said, we do have some models that have been made specifically for Flames of Orion.

Tommy “Big Boss” sculpted a large set of premade models, as well as a parts set. Digitally kitbash your own models – or print them out and do it by hand!

If you don’t have a 3d printer, Ramshackle Games has been producing the Gardens of Hecate mechs in resin for sale.
